V\u00e9ritables \u201c dents ac\u00e9r\u00e9es \u201d de l\u2019industrie moderne, le PCD est le consommable essentiel pour l\u2019usinage efficace des mat\u00e9riaux composites en fibre de carbone et des alliages d\u2019aluminium \u00e0 haute teneur en silicium dans le domaine a\u00e9rospatial, pour le forage de roches extr\u00eames dans l\u2019exploration p\u00e9troli\u00e8re et gazi\u00e8re, ainsi que pour le tr\u00e9filage de pr\u00e9cision. Cependant, la simple connaissance de ces principes chimiques fondamentaux ne suffit pas \u00e0 emp\u00eacher l\u2019obsolescence pr\u00e9matur\u00e9e des outils sur la cha\u00eene de production. Pour choisir le PCD adapt\u00e9, il est indispensable de comprendre comment la taille des particules, la perte de liant et l\u2019adh\u00e9rence \u00e0 la matrice d\u00e9terminent directement la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l\u2019usure de l\u2019outil. Le diamant naturel pr\u00e9sente une surface de clivage : il s\u2019agit l\u00e0 d\u2019une faiblesse structurelle. S\u2019il est frapp\u00e9 sous un angle sp\u00e9cifique, la pierre enti\u00e8re se fendra directement le long de cette fissure. Mais le diamant polycristallin est diff\u00e9rent : il r\u00e9partit uniform\u00e9ment la force d\u2019impact sur des millions de grains dispos\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re al\u00e9atoire et solidement li\u00e9s entre eux. Pour le dire sans d\u00e9tour, ce caract\u00e8re al\u00e9atoire de la structure \u00e9limine au contraire les faiblesses physiques. Dans les m\u00eames conditions de travail, l\u2019outil en PCD peut conserver son tranchant pendant plusieurs semaines. L'industrie a\u00e9ronautique s'appuie d\u00e9sormais largement sur du PCD de 10 \u00e0 25 microns pour fraiser et percer les structures d'ailes, afin d'\u00e9viter tout probl\u00e8me d'\u00e9tirement des fibres ou de d\u00e9lamination. Dans le cadre d'une production en s\u00e9rie \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle, le carbure rev\u00eatu est remplac\u00e9 par des lames en PCD, ce qui permet une r\u00e9duction tr\u00e8s significative du co\u00fbt des outils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forage de puits profonds dans le secteur p\u00e9trolier et gazier<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les forages p\u00e9troliers et gaziers actuels sont essentiellement domin\u00e9s par les tr\u00e9pans PDC. Le fabricant brase une couche de PCD sur un substrat en carbure pour fabriquer les dents de coupe PDC. Ce mat\u00e9riau utilise le principe m\u00e9canique du raclage pour fragmenter les formations rocheuses, et non celui de la frappe violente. D'apr\u00e8s les donn\u00e9es de terrain, par rapport aux anciens tr\u00e9pans coniques, le passage complet aux tr\u00e9pans PDC permet de r\u00e9duire la dur\u00e9e de forage d'un puits de 60% au maximum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Matrice de tr\u00e9filage de pr\u00e9cision<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le tr\u00e9filage impose des exigences extr\u00eamement \u00e9lev\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re d'uniformit\u00e9 de l'ouverture, voire pratiquement aucune. Le tr\u00e9filage du cuivre, de l'aluminium et de l'acier inoxydable g\u00e9n\u00e8re un frottement important et continu ; c'est pourquoi on utilise une matrice en PCD pour y r\u00e9sister. Vous pouvez appliquer directement cette \u201c matrice des 3-T \u201d exclusive pour \u00e9valuer votre prochain lot de commandes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mat\u00e9riau cible Mat\u00e9riau cible : Le mat\u00e9riau de la pi\u00e8ce \u00e0 usiner d\u00e9termine directement la compatibilit\u00e9 chimique. Vous devez d\u00e9finir rigoureusement le champ d'application du PCD sur les m\u00e9taux non ferreux et les non-m\u00e9taux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Limite de temp\u00e9rature : le PCD standard se d\u00e9grade rapidement d\u00e8s qu'il d\u00e9passe les 700 \u00b0C. Le liant \u00e0 base de cobalt qu'il contient acc\u00e9l\u00e8re la d\u00e9gradation thermique, entra\u00eenant des micro-effondrements. Il est donc n\u00e9cessaire de d\u00e9finir une strat\u00e9gie d'utilisation des fluides de coupe et de refroidissement et de maintenir la temp\u00e9rature de la zone de coupe en dessous de cette limite critique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Granulom\u00e9trie \/ Texture : La granulom\u00e9trie repr\u00e9sente essentiellement un compromis entre la dur\u00e9e de vie de l'outil et l'\u00e9tat de surface. Pour obtenir une surface ultra-lisse sur l'aluminium, optez pour un grain fin de 2 microns ; s'il s'agit d'un fraisage grossier du CFRP o\u00f9 la r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l'usure est prioritaire, optez directement pour un grain grossier de 25 microns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guide pour \u00e9viter le pi\u00e8ge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si le diamant polycristallin (PCD) est utilis\u00e9 pour l'usinage de m\u00e9taux ferreux, l'outil sera d\u00e9truit (100%). Le fer pr\u00e9sente une affinit\u00e9 chimique extr\u00eamement \u00e9lev\u00e9e pour le carbone. Lors de l'usinage de l'acier ou de la fonte, le diamant polycristallin subit une r\u00e9action chimique appel\u00e9e \u201c graphitisation \u00bb. En termes simples, le diamant se transforme directement en graphite, qui se m\u00e9lange aux limaille de fer. Pour les mat\u00e9riaux ferreux, le PCBN est toujours la solution la plus pratique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une autre erreur courante consiste \u00e0 compromettre directement la qualit\u00e9 des pi\u00e8ces en utilisant du PCD \u00e0 gros grains lors de l\u2019\u00e9tape de finition miroir. Les particules de diamant grossi\u00e8res laissent des rayures microscopiques \u00e0 la surface de la pi\u00e8ce, invisibles \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153il nu mais mesurables. De nombreuses \u00e9quipes d'achat consid\u00e8rent comme acquis l'utilisation d'un grain moyen standard et s'attendent \u00e0 obtenir des r\u00e9sultats de finition haut de gamme. \u00c9coutez bien ce que je vais vous dire : veillez \u00e0 bien s\u00e9parer les commandes d'outils d'\u00e9bauche et de finition, et indiquez clairement l'indice de grain exact sur le bon de commande.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tendances de pointe : TSP et technologie d'ablation au laser<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le diamant polycristallin thermiquement stable d\u00e9passe largement la limite de rupture de 700 \u00b0C mentionn\u00e9e pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment. Apr\u00e8s un premier frittage \u00e0 haute temp\u00e9rature et haute pression, le fabricant utilise la m\u00e9thode de lixiviation acide pour \u00e9liminer le liant au cobalt pr\u00e9sent dans la matrice diamant\u00e9e. Une fois le cobalt \u00e9limin\u00e9, l'int\u00e9grit\u00e9 structurelle de la fraise TSP peut \u00eatre maintenue jusqu'\u00e0 1 200 \u00b0C. De nombreux ing\u00e9nieurs de forage d\u00e9ploient d\u00e9sormais massivement l'utilisation du TSP dans les puits g\u00e9othermiques profonds o\u00f9 les fraises PDC standard fondraient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De plus, l'ablation au laser acc\u00e9l\u00e8re le remplacement de la d\u00e9coupe au fil traditionnelle pour la fabrication d'outils en PCD \u00e0 g\u00e9om\u00e9trie complexe. L'\u00e9lectro\u00e9rosion, en provoquant la fusion locale du liant au cobalt, endommage le bord de la couche de diamant. Le laser \u00e0 impulsions ultra-courtes permet de gaz\u00e9ifier directement le diamant, sans cr\u00e9er de zone affect\u00e9e thermiquement.
