Impact Resistance Test

The initial impact energy is 40J for 10 impacts. If there is no damage, the energy is increased by 10J for another 10 impacts. The impact energy and frequency increase incrementally until the PDC cutters fail.

Wear Resistance Test

The depth of penetration into the granite for the tested item is 1.25 mm. The rotation speed is a constant linear velocity of 107 m/min, and cutting continues at a constant speed until PDC cutters fail.

Thermal Resistance Test

PDC cutters placed in tubular furnace, heated for 15 mins under air, then cooled for 15 mins. Cyclic thermal shock testing repeated 5 times/temp level without damage. Temp increased by 25 degrees each time until product failure.
